Maternal Wellbeing

Pregnancy & Postpartum

Perinatal mental health focuses on supporting parents throughout the entirety of their fertility journey.  The experience of becoming a parent can include challenges with fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, new parent stress and managing marriage after children.  This time can be filled with a wide range of emotions, uncertainties and pressures.

It can be so difficult to not compare yourself to friends that are having different experiences especially when you are scrolling social media.  Whether you are coping with anxiety, lack of control or just feeling overwhelmed, therapy is here to support you in your journey.

We are Moms who get it, the constant comparison game.

The non stop questioning:

  • Am I doing this right?

  • What is right?

  • Is something wrong with my kid?

  • How can I be the best parent and also show up for myself and within my relationship?

Late nights, early mornings, cooking, cleaning up a mess that always seems to re-materialize, power struggles with your kids, finding time for your relationship, finding time to work out, finding time to take care of yourself.

Noticing that having a baby is not what you expected. Confusion why your friends didn’t tell you what it’s really like to not sleep. Judging yourself for however you choose to feed your baby, wondering if your baby is reaching their milestones, not wanting to go down the google rabbit hole. To decide to work outside of the home or stay home with your baby. The feelings of your first day back at work. Feeling like you need to be with your child, you need control, you don’t want anyone else to change their diaper, feed them or put them down for a nap.

If you connect with these thoughts and questions we are here to meet you wherever you are and support you through your journey.
