Ali Weisbrot
Founder & Psychotherapist
LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C
As a clinical social worker, I bring over 13 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked with a diverse community of individuals in foster care, community based mental health organizations, in-home therapeutic support, a variety of hospitals, outpatient clinics and schools. I have a passion for supporting my clients to show up as their most authentic selves and recognize the resilience and deep knowing they already have to reach their goals and find connection.
I am trained in perinatal mental health, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) trauma-informed practices, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have a special interest in the area of maternal wellbeing and supporting women as they experience the all encompassing identity shift of becoming a mother.
MY FOCUS
I currently focus my clinical work on perinatal mental health and those who are on the path to becoming parents. This may start with fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, and parents struggling with navigating the stressors of parenthood and marriage after kids.
My clients are also parents who need support managing their child’s behaviors, teachers & school leaders, healthcare and medical professionals, high achievers in various industries like law, finance and entertainment, people in the helping profession, those that identify as LGBTQIA+, young adults transitioning to the working world, adults going through divorce, those that are processing intergenerational trauma, and those in the creative industry.
Above all else, I am a human beyond my training and title.
I ground myself in this as we begin our therapeutic relationship to ensure that it has a foundation of connection and trust.
I believe that in order to have a meaningful and supportive therapeutic relationship it is important to bring my whole self to our sessions. I am naturally curious, insightful and open-minded and I bring humor and compassion to our work.
MY EXPERIENCE
I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Columbia University in 2011 and my Bachelor’s in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009.
I am currently a clinician at Georgetown Medstar University Hospital working in the Department of Psychiatry outpatient clinic as well as working within the school-based Wellbeing in School Environments (WISE) program.
I work with clients as they work through various life challenges and transitions, relationship issues, stress, trauma, depression, anxiety and other concerns that impact daily life. As a Mom of two I understand what it is to take on a new identity that can feel overwhelming and all encompassing while still trying to make room for yourself and your needs.

Find Relationship with Yourself
I work to create a safe space where clients can truly feel their authentic selves from the comfort of home. My own lived experiences highlighted the significant need for perinatal mental health support. This grounds me in meeting you where you are and helping you gently heal from your own experiences.
